Closing the Generation Gap
“Dor L’Dor”–Generation to Generation–certainly describes the three generations of the Gisser family who are members of Temple Israel Ner Tamid (TINT).
Grandparents Marcia and Marv Gisser joined the temple after several years of non-affiliation with any synagogue or temple, attending high holiday services at several locations.
“We joined the temple after several years of non-affiliation with any synagogue or temple, attending high holiday services at several locations.
Because our son and his family had been members at TINT for some time, and we had begun participating in various temple activities and Friday night services, we began attending high holiday services on a regular basis.
Because we enjoyed the service, the diverse membership and the friendliness of the people, we decided to become members and join part of our family. Not only did it provide us with a spiritual feeling, it gave us the opportunity to spend time with family, a situation not always possible in today’s busy society.
It has been a joy watching our grandchildren grow from their baby-naming ceremony through consecration, confirmation and b’nai mitzvot.”
