Passover and Congregational Seder
Every year on the 15th of Nissan Jews all over the globe celebrate our release from slavery to the Egyptian Pharaoh.
At Temple Israel Ner Tamid, we have a wonderful Passover tradition. On the second night of Passover we celebrate together at a Congregational Seder held at the Temple. The evening, led by Rabbi Matt, consists of a reading of the Haggadah, songs, and a full, traditional dinner, is offered at a competitive cost (usually around $40 per person).
The next Passover Seder will be on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
Annual Passover Mitzvah
As we have done in the past, our congregation is collecting Passover items to donate to the Jewish Family Shelter, located in Beachwood, Ohio. Here are some suggestions for kosher for Passover items that they need:
- Wine and/or Juice
- Desserts or cookies/brownie mixes.
- Cereals
- Pancake mixes
- Potato starch or matzah meal
- Soup stock or matzah ball soup mix.
- NO MATZAH PLEASE – They already have all they need.
