Purim

“Fiddler on the Roof” PurimSpiel is Coming!

Join Us Friday, March 14, 2025 at 7:30 p.m.

Our celebrations began with a reading from the Book of Esther. Many congregants participate, by dressing in costume and/or reading from the Book of Esther.

Friday, March 14th is a chance for everyone — adults and kids alike — to come to Shabbat services in costume and to make lots of noise with horns, duck calls, pot lids, whatever!

This holiday is one of our most joyous of the year. Kids loved trying to drown out Haman’s name with their groggers. Everyone cheered and whistled for Mordecai and Esther.

Of course, delicious Hamantashen were served after the reading.

Sunday, March 16 will be our Religious School Carnival.

Watch this video for a sampling of the festivities.
