Sukkot
The Festival of Sukkot begins on Tishri 15, the fifth day after Yom Kippur, and lasts for seven days. At TINT, we celebrate it during Friday night Shabbat services, instead of the first official eve of Sukkot. Volunteers build the sukkah a few days before the holiday and the children decorate it.
Every year Temple Israel Ner Tamid celebrates with “Pizza In The Hut”, a fun evening starting with a pizza dinner and a chance for youngsters to decorate the sukkah and bima with pumpkins, gourds and autumn corn.
Our religious school’s Sukkot program is held during regular class time.
